Travelers’ diarrhea is a common travel-related illness of digestive tract that commonly caused by eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water during travel resulting in loose stools and abdominal cramps.

Rifaximin acts by inhibiting the synthesis of RNA in the susceptible bacteria, which stops bacterial transcription and arrests its growth. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse within or after 3 days of treatment, please inform your doctor. Your doctor might alter the dose or change the treatment.
